The business office team at Emerald Coast Surgery Center will be glad to submit claims to your insurance company or to Medicare. Standard outpatient procedures are usually covered by your medical insurance or Medicare. You will receive separate bills from the Emerald Coast Surgery Center, your physician and your anesthesiology team. You may also receive a bill for any laboratory, pathology or independent diagnostic services that you may receive.
Depending on your coverage, you will be asked for payment upon admission to the center. We make every effort to inform you of this amount prior to admission. When you arrive for surgery, you should be prepared to pay all deductibles, if not yet met, co-payments and co-insurance if applicable.
Self-pay patients will be contacted prior to their surgery with an estimated procedure cost. Payment is due on or before your surgical visit. We make every attempt to calculate the correct payment amount, however, if your physician goes over the estimated time, or does additional procedures, additional fees will be collected.

For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express cards. We also accept cashier's checks, money orders and CareCredit on the day of your procedure.
If we need additional insurance information, or if you need to make a payment at the time of your surgery, one of our business office team members will contact you prior to your procedure. He or she will collect necessary insurance information and assist with your registration process.

Services may be provided in this health care facility by the facility as well as by other health care providers who may separately bill the patient and who may or may not participate with the same insurers or health maintenance organizations with which the health care practitioner participates as a network provider or preferred provider.

Chapter 59A-5.0065 require that each ambulatory surgical center shall develop and adopt polices and procedures to ensure the protection of patients rights. A notice of the "Patient's Bill of Rights" is posted in the waiting room.
